Long Hike for Monday May 13th at 9:30AM	Don Kirkpatrick

I am just scheduling the hike planned for last week again even though similar weather conditions but the weather for Monday looks good and rain is scheduled to stop today about 5PM so hopefully the trails will have a chance to dry some.

We will be doing our hike this week from Lake Skannatati parking lot (Different Hike than 2 weeks ago on other side of Seven Lakes Drive). The attached writeup gives an idea of where we will be hiking, the hike is rated moderate and is listed at 8 miles and we usually do about 5.5 miles.

Bring water, snacks, and lunch as we will eat lunch at the end of the hike next to the lake where we started our hike. Please let me know if you plan on attending and if you will be carpooling. The carpool is at 8:45AM from WRC parking lot. As the trip will take just over a half hour to get to the trailhead.

Safe Shooting club Wednesday May 22nd at 1pm at the VFW in Midland Park	Dave Hubschmitt

Various members will lead a discussion on the 5 levels of force that can be used to defend yourself or someone else as well as the criteria that needs to be met to do so.

The club will also discuss New Jersey’s Castle Doctrine and the mandate to retreat as well as the most recent changes in the law when it comes to owning and transporting a gun. Four real scenarios will be discussed.
